Engine advice....please

Postby Alex_amd2001 » Fri Jul 18, 2014 10:03 am

Hi Everybody,

I'm 95% finished my resto project (li150 series 2 winter model), but having issues with starting and idle especially with the airhose connected (does better open). Everything is standard except the new carb, dellorto PHBL 25. Can anybody offer some jetting recommendations etc. Many thanks! Alex

AQ266 atomiser
102 main jet
40 slide
60 Choke
200 Float Needle Valve

The only advice I can give is remove the baffle in the airbox neck and the wall in the air scoop , presuming they have them? This will allow more air to the carb. Check choke plunger is lifting when turned on and a 50 idle jet may be too big.

Thanks Wack,

I'm going to try a 45 idle and maybe a remote filter. Appreciate the advice.

Agree re the atomiser but better to get the bike starting and idling first then work from there. :)
