Hellooooooo

Postby P D: SC Chester » Mon Dec 12, 2016 7:59 pm

Now then, thanks for letting me join your Forum.

I have a GP150 with Sterling pipe and 28mm Delorto.

Having a few issues with jetting and waiting on jets to tinker with.
I did have 1 bit of luck, I found a needle, disguarded in the tool box, which out of desperation, I fitted to my Delly. And to my suprise, it worked and stopped the awful bogging at 3/4 throttlle. My question is.....Is what main jet do people recommend?
I did have 22mm Jeter and Clubman, but changed to the Sterling and Delly.

Cheers in advance

Just standard at the minute. It was just a mild mannered run about with the clubman and Jetex After I stuck the Sterling on, it's turned in to an f'in hooligan! And despite my advancing years - I quite enjoyed :D

The 28mm carb is probably a tad too big for a 150 ( in my opinion ) why not put the Jetex back on but fit a bigger main jet to suit the expansion pipe ?

You are probably right about the carb, but I tried various jets in the Jetex 15 - 118, but it dint like them and bogged at high revs.
My thinking was : bigger carb with 115 main as, it starts and idles great, the best it's Done in fact. First kick and it pops away lovely, it's just the top end of the scale, so I don't think I'm far away - but as I've learnt, take nothing for granted with scoots, not even hard facts!

Appreciate your input

chester I see that you've also posted the same question in another thread .
I'll respond to this question in the other thread which is in the Carburation section which is probably the best place for this sort of specific topic. ;)
