front wheel removal

If the rear wheel is still in place presumably you lift the front bars and the wheel drops out ?
obvouisly after removing 19 mm nuts and shocks.

I prefer to put a block of wood under the stand legs and raise it off the ground so that the wheel can drop out cleanly and with both hands on it.

You won't need to remove the shocks, but you will find that the wheel stays in place until the washers behind the 21mm nuts are removed. Once the washers are displaced, things tend to happen quite quickly.

BTW, the nut is 21mm so you can remove it with a spark plug spanner.
