Rear floor

Postby jefft » Wed Jan 18, 2017 10:12 pm

Can anybody help with information on how to remove both rear floor sections. I need to change to the inlet manifold and it appears that I can get it off if I drop the rear shocker ,remove the spark plug and the cylinder cowling and the floor sections I should be able to remove the bolts without having to take the exhaust off .
Any advice please.

Once the engine has been dropped, the long inlet stud needs removing so you can remove the manifold. To remove the stud unfasten the nyloc nut and fit two nuts, locking them together and remove the stud.
Leave the floor boards and cowls on,just remove the rear shocker and the bump stop.

Yes.Once you've unscrewed the stud theres usually no need to remove it,just lift the manifold off the smaller stud and remove it.
