I was filling a dry built engine and put 0.7 of a litre in, which seems a lot, so,I undid the highest Allen key plug and let the oil drain until level. But the it only worked out at 0.4, what do you guys recommend ?
Cheers

Is the engine in the scooter, on its stand and sat on level ground?
Is the rear shocker length shorter than normal?

always used 700 for a dry built engine, 500 for a wet engine. ie an oil change.

I may be wrong but you've got to let everything get a coating of oil that's why 700 dry And 500 wet.
First fill on any Re -built motor always takes a bit more they usually recommend re-checking after a short run ,then it's got in all the nooks & crannies.
You may find you have to top up a little doing it that way.
