Soldering a new pick up

Hi all, due to some warm starting issues I'm changing the pick up on my lammy as it only registers a lowly 91 when cold and want to know how straight forward is it going to be or not to be if this is the question. Jetting has been changed as have piston rings. Is there any potential problems etc that I should be aware off.

Cheers

I've already got a K2 pick up from scooter restorations, whats the word on that and the difference to the vespa one?
Cheers

Ok, thanks for that, I'll bear that in mind for next time, incidentally I'd heard that the P200's where/are the most reliable scooter on there market.

My Lammy I have to admit is really reliable when I'm not working on it.

Hi all, I've put a new pick up on the stator and the ohms are still only reading 93.8, is this alright or should I be looking to increase somehow as I've read that it should be between 95 and 120, all other readings are fine, 470ohms and 0.01. Any suggestions anyone.

try re soldering it - take the old off/clean up and try again - it may just be a weak joint

Fit the stator and try it. Some of my best functioning and most reliable stators have had readings outside the norm.... and I've known plenty of mate's stators that give the right readings but function like crap!

agree with adam

the last one I did I resoldering it a few times to try to get a better reading - give up in the end when I couldn't get it over 95 - put it on and hasn't skip a beat - on a fast road going TS1 ........ that's the kiss of death !
