Rear frame strut removal

Any reason why not to remove rear struts when removing rear boards and cutting panels apart from not being able to fit rear pegs

Only the clipped rubber on the strut.
Is it there to take some of the flex out of the panel and prevent splitting?

^... agree 100%, which is caused by the panels being allowed to vibrate if they're no longer kept firm against said rubber buffer. Having run a bike like this before, I'd never do it again.

There is a way around this issue. Use bitumen based anti-vibration stick on pads on the inside of your panels, like the ones you find on the inside of car door panels. This stops the panels from splitting.
Maybe...... someone like demon tweeks might have them?
