LI150 rear light wiring issue

Postby Hornbyfrog123 » Fri Apr 07, 2017 7:49 pm

Dear All

New to forums but hopefully someone can help

Have just taken old rear light bulb holder out as one of the fittings was broken, this had the following wiring - left festoon fitting has two green wires one which links to rear light and right festoon fitting this green wire also connected to frame so assuming earth, black wire connected to rear light and red wire to right festoon fitting - therfore I assume I have earth connection to all three fittings....all three fittings have two connectors and all three bulbs sit horizontal at the bottom.

hopefully you've got the above jist, now the new holder only has 3 spade connectors one on each festoon fitting, How do I wire this correctly as I am baffled...given that all diagrams etc show three wires pink black and earth.

If the answer is on the forum already please point me to it, and thanks in advance for any help given

Thanks for comments and replies. I have ditched the old festoon bulb holder and adapted and fitted a new 3 bulb unit into the original rear lamp (put together by Gran Prix scooters Leicester) Result is very good illumination without the hassle of a forty year old holder and wiring.
