Could someone give me a rough idea of how much it would cost to build a RB20? All parts supplied and built into a series 2 150 gearbox. Depends on cost I may have a go at doing it myself. Thanks

Do the casings need porting/matching ? are the casings completely bare ? do all the new parts fit correctly or do they need fettling ? does the building include carb' jetting, etc, etc
I would expect an hourly rate of £35-£50 and roughly 8 hours work for a bare casing re-build with all the parts there......checking squish, leak test, port timings, timing, etc.
There's a lad local to me who charges a minimum £1000 for a rebuild and he gets the work regular, he's good but I think a tad expensive (others obviously don't !)

John at JB Tuning has his rates clearly displayed on wall and is £60 per hour...and always busy.
