Any suggestions for a tyre fitter with a proven success rate for Colchester or Ipswich area?
This is for SIP rims

I'd be amazed if that cable tie method worked with a 10" wheel!
Good tip about using an air compressor at the end though

I was with a motorcycle tyre fitter yesterday who had a couple of very bad experiences with tyre fitting on SIP rims, but he was VERY keen to overcome the issues. We acknowledged that there are greater problems with smalltyres than with big wheel.
If you need to stretch a true by, say, 5% to get it to fit, then you will get more stretch on a 17" tyre than on a 10" (I think you know what I mean). He also suffered with the rim slipping on the machine.
I will try some of these suggested suppliers, as I don't really have time to waiter for my problem solving tyre fitter to solve all his problems.

Get some decent split rims, wack a tube in job done. If assembled correctly they're good in my opinion.

Ahh. Hopper, my lifestyle coach.
I got them fitted at MoT a bike at Colchester. Rather expensive, but not a scratch on the polished ali or the paint, and they did it the same day. If I had a little more time, I might have tried elsewhere, but no scratches and quick turn around was a result.

Paul, you could quite possibly be pleasantly surprised too, I don't have tubeless rims but it looks worth a go to those who do .

Mel, I'd wager a beer and a chaser that noone could could a 10" tyre on like that without divine intervention. Even a soft walled one like an S1
