I am sure it has happened to a few of you have bought a nice exhaust which fails the stand.
1/ What is the best way to secure the scooter whilst taking the stand off.
2/ Best way to bend the stand without damage, I am only looking at 10 mm from the top right hand bend. I only have a small vice on the bench.
Any good advice would be helpful, thanks.

Colin, I use a cordless drill box propped under the kickstart if I need to do this. Works a treat as long as there is no real movement in the scooter when fixing whatever. Mine is just the right height. Or another pair of hands. Always willing to help you mate if you need it?

Hi Martin. Thought you would be bombing round the M25 with your clean carb. I have cut some 8 by 3" timber and made temp stands. Will have a bend of the stand when my other bits arrive from AF this week, thanks for the offer. What are your views on petrol filters now LOL.
