I have just fitted one of Anthony's "Intelli Converter" to provide a steady 12v DC for a sat nav on a AC system on a mate's scooter.

What a good bit of kit! Out of the box, it is easy to fit and gives a rock-steady 13.88v DC from tickover to full revs.

A great product. Ronseal!

So does this convert from an AC system to full DC and have enough power to run the lights with a decent size headlight.

I don't know. I had some parts he wanted and we did a swap. However, from what I have seen, his pricing is very reasonable. He is about to bring out an updated version with USB's, which looks really top notch. As said elsewhere, he is one clever guy.

No David, this is more like an up-market Mod-charger with better solid-state components and less power consumption. He reckons it will charge a phone and a satnav, leaving plenty of AC to power all the traditional lights and horn. As I said, the power output was absolutely rock-solid from tick-over to full revs. Very impressive and robust bit of kit and exactly what I need for this scooter for the Italian job.

Yes they look ok and work well, I fitted one to a friends machine just after Bridlington. Pity about that I was thinking about putting one on my special if the would support full DC.

David,

The route to go for full DC, as I am sure you are aware, is Wassell. Anthony does a full DC stator for £70. New coils, pick-up on a newly manufactured split-iron core and a CNC machined mounting plate (with extra wide slots) for about £70. Built with care, and fully tested. he even sells the Wassell at a bargain price.

Martin, He was not on the go when I went for DC for the combo, the BGM stator has performed well (up to know). My friend also bought one these stators from Anthony and it looks a good bit of kit.
