Series 2

Postby Cgt75b » Sat Jun 17, 2017 8:40 pm

Hi folks

Just ordered a few bits and bobs from scooter rezzies. One of the things was a nylon/plastic collar for the gear change.

The problem being when I feed the grip with the gear change rod through it doesn't close the gap enough, if you know what I mean. If there a difference between series 2/3?

Cheers for any help.

Yes there is a difference between S2 and S3. However there is also a mass e difference between Italian S2 and Indian S2.
This could be your problem.

I've had a similar issue with my Series 3. I may have the 'wrong' collar ?. I've fettled it a bit and it's almost right, with maybe 1 mm gap between the twist grip and the casting. I'm hoping that it will wear in.
