Ok, I want a new seat but it has to meet 3 specific criteria.

1. Low profile, like the ancillotti "race" seats
2. Has to be a flip up.
3. Has to fit with my spare wheel rack.

So, Im looking at something like these

Anyone else got a similar setup and pictures to give me an idea?

I've got one of the TSR hinged race seats on my Eibar, that could work?

My rack is similar Donnie. This was a black one like the one you posted I just got it recovered.

You could commit sacrilege and take an angle grinder to an original Ancilotti

Colour wise, that oxblood one does look good, I hadnt really given any thought to colour and had defaulted to black but do like that.

The TSR one looks like it would do but Im reluctant to buy from them as Ive had bad experience with them and their exhaust before

I did offer it for sale before I shortened it but there were no takers

In hind sight the effort involved cutting it up and shortening it probably wasn't worth it when copys are only 70 balloons.

Just a thought Donnie what about a single saddle seat ....reading the reports from the mile munching euro guys they swear by em.

Aye, getting rid of the single saddles was first thing I did years ago, could not get on with them at all, too sit up and beg for me and used to end up with my thighs cramping

I've also had poor experience from them in the past, but to be fair the seat is pretty good and comfortable...although I have just invested in an air hawk as well for longer journeys

Donnie I have a seat base, catch and cover in black, very similar to Bike Grims just needs new foam £20 plus postage. Can find a photo if your interested.

Im planning on an airhawk, hence the need to be a flip up

OK Im back, I've gone for an ancillotti style seat but as you can see from the photos it's not going to do.
If you compare the seating area you can see on the snetterton it ends behind the shock top

but the ancillotti (due to the hump) ends well in front of it

So, back on the hunt

That looks like a bit of an 'interpretation' of an Ancillotti seat to my (old) eyes & if you were to measure it, I'll measure the original I have in the rafters to compare. From memory, they should be substantially longer.

That's if you want the bother. You must be rightly p*ssed off with some of your purchases of late.....

I fear you may be into custom seat fabrication territory

It is a 3/4 so maybe I should have plunged into the full length :-/

I tell you my ideal seat would be a full length Snetterton that flips up :-/

Hi Donnie

This is the 3/4 from Scooter Center, still not quite far enough back but not a bad seat at all.

And this is a TSR hinged X-Race, which I still have if you want to borrow and try, but I think the hump is still too far forward.

Square back would fit. Not sure if it would look good on series 2 curves though.
