Electrical problem s

Need some help lads n lasses casatronic fired up great turned on lights everything ok then lights just faded dead no spark at all checked all conections everything seemed ok still no spark seemed like it was turned off changed ignition switch still no spark so changed back to my Indian set up and still no spark or life cheers for any help :( :(

No spark and no lights could suggest an iffy earth connection from the engine to the frame, as it's the only common denominator really.

Flywheel cowling off and earth dangling loose.

Unless you have a battery, the lights won't work unless the engines running, so i'm presuming it's just a starting issue and the lights are fine.

Disconnect the headset/switch earth off the cdi unit (green wire). If this wire is touching earth it will not spark. By disconnecting it off the cdi you are eliminating the wiring and switch.

For it to spark it is just the stator, wires from stator to cdi, ht lead and spark plug.

I've heard that the anodised stator backplate can cause earthing problems so worth checking. The CDI and regulator need a real good earth on them or problems can arise.

Cheers lads all earth's seem okno coating on stater plate going to test wiring at weekend
