Cush drive

Hi , I have recently having issues with jumping out of gear at high revs , so thought the most likely cause would be the spring and balls in the selecter , however when I removed the chaincase cover I noticed that that the sliding dog had moved and was not mating with the drive assembly washer , is that normal ? The bolt was tight and I have managed to turn it back into place , could the drive assembly spring be knackered ?

When you say "drive assembly washer"do you mean the spring cap.The spring cap may not be aligned with the teeth on the sprocket sleeve causing the spring to be slack and allowing the sliding dog to move.

Yes the spring cap , I will double check that it's lined up properly , bit of a school boy error if that is the case , I wasn't sure if they where supposed to move

Always check with a hammer & it's even useful to tap around the splined dish washer to get it aligned in the first place. Old Racer's trick
