Help with an oil seal spring?

I'm rebuilding my engine and have slightly damaged the spring on the inner oil seal on the mag housing so it's got a slight kink in it (I would upload pics but I can't work out how since Photobucket have gone into a sulk) I'm tempted to put it back together as it is but I'm guessing advise would be 'don't risk it' and use another spring. Unfortunately I don't have another seal knocking around and don't really need to order anything at the moment so was wondering if anyone had a spring that I could have pls?

If the spring cannot be have it's kink removed (occasionally, then can be with pin nose pliers) I may have a spare you can have.

The springs vary dependent on manufacturer (Rolf is common) but I do have various. Call me mean ;) but I keep old seals just for the reason you have experienced!

What is the make (& size, just as a check) of the seal, & preferably the cross section diameter of the spring (probably less than Ø3 mm), please?

Great, thanks, It's a brown viton seal, not sure of make as it's now installed but it came from AF. I'll check dimensions when I get home.
