front springs

I know this question may well have been asked before but I cannot find any previous reference so I apologize if it has been asked before. I unrated the front springs on my series 3 and it was the worse decision I made, it is far too stiff and bounces around all over the place. So the technical question is what is the best grade of road spring to use for normal road use, the scoot has been uprated but I just want a more comfortable ride in my old age.

Do you have dampers fitted? If so, which ones?

What type of springs did you fit ? Are you happy they all went together well and correct ?

Where did you buy the current springs from and what were they sold as ?
If you have progressive springs - that would limit the bounce / rebound not increase the effect. Dampers would help with the rebound.
Have MB progressive springs in both of mine which arent overly harsh - but better than standard which feels like a pogo stick in comparison

Thanks for your comments. I had the scoot overhauled by camlam and I specified I wanted hard springs as the originals were to soft, my mistake. I do have shockers now fitted, make unknown, which have made a difference, but the bouncing is just getting on my nerves. Would progressive springs from camlam be sufficient.

Did they change the springs,or just put 2 spring stops in each leg.

I really don't know. Lets just say the invoice indicates fork rebuild kit, and labour for rebuilding forks x 2.

I think you need to speak to camlam about this.
