I may need to get a re-bore and a replacement piston for my standard Italian GP150 engine. It will re-bored to 57.6 and I wonder whether someone could recommend a decent make of piston? Also, I've seen some with cut-outs in the skirt and some without, some with 2 rings and some with 3 and also different ring widths. Having never replaced a piston before, I would be grateful if someone could advise me as to which one is the correct/best one for mine? The engine will be left completely standard. Thanks.

What is your existing piston? How many rings and has it windows or cut-outs in the skirt?
If you are happy with the original piston, why not stick with that make (unless it is no longer made)?

^^ ^Thanks for the replies. The piston in it at the moment has windows with 2 rings. However, the scooter was bought in bits so I've never ridden it so can't comment on how it performed! I'll take a look at the Mahles, thanks.
