Any tips on getting the lip straight on the frame for the legshields to sit on. On with dry build and side panels are all over the place

The legshields dont sit on a lip,the panels sit on a lip on the frame loop.

your legshields sit on two outriggers that are welded to the frame, the rear board also fits on the second outrigger and has a 3rd support at the back, to get a reasonable fit a straight edge can be laid across all 3, i have a long spirit level that i use to check, and you can bend the outriggers slightly with a large adjustable spanner to get them somewhere near, you can also add thin washers under the rubber shims to give some adjustment, or i cut up old bicycle inner tube if standard shims are to much, its a bit of faffing about but i think its worth the effort,to get a good fit, good luck,

Now you've sorted the thread title a few more details would be helpful. Is the frame hoop lip damaged? or is just that the panels don't fit up properly?

The later could be due to the frame having been stood upright on the rear of the hoop for transportation purposed (more on a container) The panels themselves can also suffer distortion if they have had panel beating or have been blasted. If you are doing a dry fit, don't forget to fit the rubber buffers on the thear frame legs as these push the panels out which has the effect of pulling the front and rear of the panel in slightly.

Not a lot of difference between legshields and side panels I've sorted front end to a point I'm happy with. Fit on panels is not too far out now after trying a couple of different sets. The main concern is the lip is like a snake and how to straighten it back up. Thought of a bit of metal rod against frame and tapping lip back to it and also how far lip should stick out. Any bright ideas would be more than helpful.

Use the side panel as your guage(assuming you mean how far lip sticks out to enable easy fit of panel).Not forgetting to leave room for the sidepanel rubber.
