Might seem a daft question but having never mixed and matched before , can a SIL GP200 1st gear be a straight swap for a Italian one ??
Cheers

I don't think so because the outer diameters of the gears are different. The Indian is 115.3 mm. whilst the Italian is117.5. I think this why the first 'Indian' set I bought locked up once the endplate was fitted.

Thats not always the case though, some of the 50 tooth Italian and Spanish first gears are 115.3 and some of the Indian ones are 117.5.You only need to look in the back of Sticky's manual.

Italian GP/SX150 will match an Italian 125/200 1st gear!
