Hi All
Happy new year to all
I have just purchased a 1963 li. I am having problems with the side panel clips. I have attached a pics of the clips. Can anyone please tell me if these are the right clips for my lammy. I am having problems locking it together, as I have never used this style clip before. Any help or info would be appreciated.
Cheers

Yes, this is the right 'w' wire clip and you have the earlier roller handles. Obviously, make sure the wire clip is in the upright position as your pic shows them in the down position (to facilitate wheel removal). :)

There appears to be a bracket missing that hols the W clip up in the correct position

That clip is not necessary, only found on some models and is often removed so to aid removal of rear wheel so don't worry.

Looks like you have the clip but someone has already bent it out of the way (good thing).

I found that a liberal application of grease to both the wire and the wheel helps with the panel on / off process

Sometimes with wear to the rollers or shaft, the roller doesn`t line up properly with the clip, and you have to feel underneath with you hand to line them up before you turn the handle to lock the panel on

2nd one always goes on easier because you have to hold the wire up and spring into line with the roller on the 1st one.

while your putting the side panel on one side hold the bracket up and look from the other side and make sure the roller locates on the bracket.

as all of the above, don't be tempted to replace it with a nice shiny stainless or chrome one. they are half the diameter and made of cheese  only fit for the bin. a bit of rust pitting gives the wheel something to hang to

There's a nak to putting them on, feel underneath the panel with one hand and line up the roller and the hook while turning the lever with the other, hope this helps
