Morning all. Gp with standard clutch set up doesn't seem to make any difference if it's not used for 2 days or 2 weeks the first time I put it in gear it goes in with a clunk and jumps very slightly forward. After that first time never does it again and It changes through the gears very smoothly for however long I am out riding it doesn't creep forward either when holding the clutch in at junctions lights etc. Anyone any thoughts please.

Is that a new clutch or the existing clutch?
Has it suddenly started doing this or has it always done this?

You could try revving it like mad and slipping the clutch for a while to burn off old oil deposits etc.
Almost certainly got to have the clutch out; one of the easier jobs on a Lambretta, and examine.
When building ensure good freedom of movement in the clutch basket and if necessary, take a file to the edges of the tangs as I call them.

Sounds like the plates are sticking together....but why ?

Is the oil level correct and is it the right type of oil ?

Possible some of the arms on the spider are bent and the clutch plate ears are sticking ?

Check/change the oil, if all ok, it's time to open the side casing and have a look.

Might be worth trying a bit of cable adjustment to give more travel on clutch arm

Sounds like a perfectly normal crappy lambretta clutch to me.

Did it do it back in the warmer days of summer? Could just be the oil being a bit viscous due to the current cold weather
