CDI Green wires question?

Postby davla » Sat Mar 24, 2018 7:54 pm

I'm tidying up the wiring on my Li150 Special (no battery) and electronic ignition. I've got 3 green wires from the loom going to the CDI, one is for the ignition switch but what are the other two? They have been connected together btw. Cheers

The original wiring diagram(6v) on 267 of the second edition of sticky's manual shows three green wires going to the junction box,one from the stator plate, one from the coil and one in the loom.

Yeah I’d taken a look at that but all 3 are coming from the loom on my scooter which seems a bit strange. I’m wondering if they just go to the bulb holder junction box in the headset and connect together that end for some bizarre reason. I have found a diagram online for an Li150 with electronic ignition and it shows 2 green wires coming from the loom blanked off so I’m hoping I can just do the same. I guess it’s time to whip off the headlight and get the multi-meter out.
