Rear mudguard fitment.

I know they fit via self tapping screws. But, the holes I have on the frame are massive.

I assume, therefore, that they are C clips (is that what they are called?) tothe frame to allow you to fit them. Am I right, or wide of the mark? :)

Hi Paul,
Hope your well. No it is a crude self tapper fixing - end of production cut backs I guess :( . Personally I would try using a Rivnut type set-up, but that will leave a shoulder on the outside so the mudguard will not quite be flush to the frame, or as I did just tack weld a nut on the inside. Hope this helps, Steve.

Thanks, Steve. Rivnuts, yes of course. I have some somewhere, just haven’t used them in a few years.

I am good thanks. Regards to Wendy. Hope to see you soon, mate.

Is that a GRP mudguard Paul? needs a pan head screw and washer to spread the load ;)

These screws were the nearest M4s to hand ;)

How’s your Vega coming along?
