No spark

Hi can anyone help having trouble with setting the timing on my model f does anyone know what the setting is before Tdc? My book says 26 degrees but i have tried This but the points seem to open just about Tdc I must be missing something I have scratched my head for days now any help would be appreciated it's the marelli system with the automatic retard.
