Classic style 400-10 tyres

Postby rumiman » Tue Jan 31, 2017 9:11 pm

Anyone got any tried and tested recommendations for wet and dry use 400x 8 tyres, continental lb would be my usual choice, but I have heard a few comments about recent "non German manufactured"ones being dodgy in the wet !, Was hoping for something with a classic look, alternatively I have the option of some new old stock Michelin ACS. I know they look the part but have never used any in anger.Any help appreciated.

You have put 400-10 in the title but 400-8 in the text. Which is it please?

Sorry, nearly 40 years of heinkel ownership - old habits die hard. Yes it's for arumi 400-8. So same as d of. Mixed riding including coast to coast ,derby 150 etc, so looking for all weather tyres, thanks Graham.

Hi Graham. Ive used Michelin ACS on my D for years now and have always been happy with them in rain or shine.

Seahouses it is, as long as I manage to avoid breaking myself again this year! Touch wood.

I have still got to get my left knee bending enough after a replacement to reach the stupid heel brake on my rumi before I attempt the Northumberland Moors myself !., But hope to see you there.
