LD MK2 DMV California Registration and emissions

Hi All, Has anyone any experience of registration in California of an LD with the DMV and if they had any issues with emissions / pollution and how they got around them, so that they could get LD registered?
Asking for someone else, so limited in information available. Thank you!

There were no emissions controls on vehicles in California before 1966 IIRC.

I've had plenty experience with the New York DMV, but not California so not an expert by any means. I don't think California brought in the emissions sticker for motorcycles until 1978, and from 1997 it became increasingly difficult to register new 2 strokes.
No problem with registering an LD or any other Lambretta for that matter. In the worse case you could register it in Vermont (no residency requirement) and then transfer it to California.
