What is the trick to get kickstart back on properly? It Doesn't wind back after kicking. 58 LD Mark 3

Thanks jbcollier, downloaded the manual. Found the Kickstart section. Removed the mechanism. All is good. Thanks again for the help.

It's not a complete manual, more a supplement for the '57 and up LD and LDA. The complete manual comes up on eBay every so often, very helpful.
