Hi
Couple of questions, do you have any pictures of the other side of your front hub back plate & the hub itself? The front hub on a model C is quite small so I would'nt be surprised if the brake shoe's you've been sent are correct.... So if you've got some more pictures of your parts that will help identify the hub so you can get the right bits. Out of interest, what's up with the original brake shoes you've got?

My model C parts catalogue shows part number 6R 1021 for front brake shoes. It just goes to show that you can't always put your trust in a 60 year old book!
Try Howard Chambers for new bits on 02380 550270. Weekdays from 10.00am to 16.00pm.

The back plate in the image looks like the larger one as fitted to the D/LD125 from about 1953 onwards, and as fitted to all D/LD150s. The later drums have an internal diameter of 125mm, the C/LC ones are even smaller in diameter... My guess is that a previous owner fitted 'uprated' LD front brake and hub after a few scary moments!
