Technical help for all early models, A, B, C, LC, D, LD, E & F models
by 68Sxandy » Wed Mar 23, 2016 9:22 pm
Can anyone please send me a picture of the badge that goes on a legshield tool box on a 1957 series 3 LD 150. Just bought the scooter and I know it is missing but I don't know what I should be looking for,
Thanks, Andy.

The only Italian Mk3 LD with a legshield toolbox as standard was the electric start AVV - only the earlier LDs without the covered handlebars had the toolbox, which also contained the speedo. I don't recall any badge on those toolboxes, but there was one on the legshield toolbox of some of the French LD models. Have a look here, scroll down & check toolbox images:-

Thanks for the reply, I guess mine shouldn't have the toolbox fitted then but as it does and it looks ok I will search for one of the French style badges.

It's quite possible the legshield toolbox is an aftermarket one (such as sold by Scoot RS & others), but are you absolutely sure you've got an Italian Mk3 Ld and not a Mk4 French version? Or possibly even a hybrid?

It is definitely an Italian my 3, I have the relavent paper work from the Lambretta archive etc. Think the guy who restored must have just added it because he had it.
