Previous ld that I built had circular tube under speedo to fit speedo light bulb. It was a mph veglia. The latest ld has a speedo again mph and veglia but with no recess for speedo light. The face is similar the one on other bike but narrows very slightly from top to bottom. Is this speedo for a different ld model or is it a modern copy.?

The 150D did not have a speedo light.

This particular scooter is quite a hybrid with LDA frame, Electronic ignition, and LD engine, an it is quite likely that a D150 speedometer was fitted at some time. Will refit it unless someone would like to do a swop. Thank you for information.

The only Italian LD with a light in the speedo was the Mk3 with the 'rectangular' speedo in the handlebar cover. Earlier LDs used the same 'round' speedo (without the light) as the D.
The real advantage with the Mk3 was that you could tell just how slowly you were going after dark.....
