Hi
Could any one please tell me should one of the pre drilled holes in the large frame bush for the torsion arm have to line up with the grease nipple hole on the under side of the frame . Or does the grease find it's way around the back of the bush to the holes ( one at the top and the other one at the bottom of the bush )

Sorry, can't remember. Easy to figure out though. If the hole the hole the bushing goes to has a groove where the grease hole is, then the hole orientation is not critical. If there is no groove, then you need to line up one of the holes in the new bush with the grease hole.

I can't remember either, but I seem to think that there is a groove around the bearing, and a couple of holes to allow the grease to flow from the area around the outside of the bearing to the inner bearing surface. Having spent many happy hours ( ) trying to persuade a seized torsion bar to part company with the brass bearing sleeve, I seem to recall drilling a couple of extra holes in the new bush to give the grease the best possible chance to get from the nipple to the area where it's really needed.....

Cheers guys I think you are both correct after having another look at the bushes I can now see that there is a groove to allow the grease to get to the holes as you say.
I think I will pump a small amount of grease in while the torsion bar is out and see where it goes .Then make sure it's well packed with grease when finally fitted .
