Hi
Rebuilding my motor today ( first ever D rebuild so please bare with me :o ) I am using the Lambretta spare parts catalogue as a reference .
On my clutch pull arm I have a small bearing race located under the pull rod cup that sit the final end plate . In the parts book it shows loose balls x10 (18--78920532) where my race is fitted and a ball spacer (no 17 --12060173 ) and finally a circlip ( 16--73250018) for retaining balls spacer that fit to the under side of the cup.
My question is if I use the race do I need to fit the spacer and circlip ? As I don't appear to have them ?? Was the race an upgrade or an earlier version ?
Thanks again in advance for your help

The issues are if there ever might be enough freeplay so that the balls could fall out, and, ease of assembly. With loose balls, you need the cover and circlip. With balls in a retainer, you don't. Casa Lambretta sells a pull-rod ball retainer (with balls) and complete pull rods assemblies (3 types) as well. Also industrial supply shops sell circlips and you could easily make up a washer like cover. I seem to recall that the balls are a metric size so measure what you have carefully, close does not count.
