Yes very windy yesterday. The circuit clerk wasn't going to let them race. After much debate and meeting , and a raising of hands he let them out for the 2nd race !

Some great racing today (Sunday) spent some time with a few of the racers and teams, team srp in particular, got some info from one of Stuart Day races( SRP Group six) for all us road going riders, his group 6 on I think LI 150 gear set@16x46=4.9 revving to 13000rpm! wow! next time your out look at your rev counter.

Hi Pete.
Sorry I didn't make that sound correct. The scoots were out for the 1st race (wet ). The 2nd race on the Saturday was the issue. The wind got up and the clerk said it was too windy for scooters. He let 125 bikes out though. You can imagine the lads weren't happy. In the end after a meeting he let them out !

Just to clarify one of the srp Group 4 lads (Chris Geyton) blew his crank on Saturday and Daz contacted me to see if we could help out? After a rummage in the garage I found some webs (indian) a 22x16x18 rod and bearing and after an hour or so in the shed pressed up a crank. which I delivered to the track 8pm Satdy night. SRP Got to work on it and he was out racing Sunday, I was a little nervous to say the least as it was just a Jap road spec bearing and a bit of locktite to hold the pin. After discussing with Paul Baker and Chris what sort of bhp/ rpm it would reach I was informed it touching 37bhp and hit around 12000 rpm. He managed to finish his 2 races and a re-started race so he actually done 2 and half races, finishing 3rd in the last race. Lets just say I was counting down the laps!

hi Daz
glad you got out, talk about double standards :?
i'm afraid my many years of dealing with the ACU and "officialdom" was not always plain sailing, the number of times i just had to bite my tongue, some of these blokes just seem to have a problem with "small wheels" in general.
