The 2nd round of the British Scooter Racing Championship comes to Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire this weekend, Sunday 6th/Monday 7th May, run in conjunction with Time attack, there's all manner of 2 and 4 wheels in action, a great day out with lots to see and do at time attack events.
The scooter grids are always full for Cadwell so this is a great opportunity to see the countries fastest riders and scooters in action, the LCGB Sponsored production class has in the past seen 20+ entries and this seasons first round at Mallory Park saw some very exciting close racing throughout the field.

Had a run down to Cadwell today - not many scooterists in attendance to watch. As predicted a very full grid for the production class in particular - considering they are effectively an RB kit straight out of the box, they bloody shift !! Flat out along the main straight they must be nudging 100mph and god knows what rpm - Hope the rider that came to grief in the morning 'quali' session resulting in the red flag is ok

I think the productions class highest recorded speed was at the longest straight on our calendar. This was at snetterton , the back straight is long. I think it went to Graham Tatton at 87mph. Which as you say is very respectable for basically a very well setup out of the box kit.
Cadwell straights aren’t quite as long , although the back straight is down a long hill so good speeds can be reached. Who binned the scoot ?

Just to confirm-Graham Tatton went through the time trap at Snetterton @ 88.7mph-the production RB;s regularly hit 90mph, albeit in the slipstream of much quicker group 4 and 6 scooters. If you have went Monday you'd have seen plenty of red flags, we @ Team DSC lost our 2 proddy class scooters, which were totally written off in a very nasty incident along with Dave Marsden's proddy bike which was being piloted at the time by the 2016 champion and Team DSC rider Baz Braithwaite, our full team apart from DazTs1 was wiped out, one rider is in hospital (Hammy) but doing ok. The other riders are battered and bruised but relatively ok considering they came off at 80+mph! Scooter racing is dangerous folks!
