1989 Kesterfield LCGB members rally, 1992 the bitter sweet third euro, 1993 the Double Locks rally, 2020 the well overdue Mike Karslake nemorial ride...

If you don't know who Mike Karslake is (why!?) he played a huge part in laying the foundations of the modern Lambretta scene that we are currently enjoying. From designing the BLOA badge (this is not up for argument or court cases...) via initiating long distance touring, sand racing on the Isle of Man to building the 1st UK Lambretta museum (with help from the LCGB) in Northlew Devon.

With this being the third anniversary of his sad passing, this may well be a one off event so get yourselves there & show your respect...

Based at the Minehead rugby club, we had thought about making this a C2C type event {next time ( : } but decided that riding without luggage was way more fun & that the organisers deserved to enjoy the event also (no relocating the PA etc etc).

Saturday will provide 140ish miles of twisty, some technical some fast, Somerset & Devon tarmac goodness. Mid point, in a 3 point signing in event, will be the Green Dragon Inn in Northlew. Dan, the new landlord, is putting on a BBQ specially for us so please support him (directions to Mike's grave will be signposted).

Saturdays entertainment will take the form of a bunch of blokes playing overpriced slabs of plastic & the Skimmity Hitchers playing live, putting the c*nt back into the west country inna scrumpy & westons folk & ale style :D

Nice 1 mate!

I truely hope that Lambrettista UK & perhaps Europe wide make the effort to make this anniversary & what may very well be a one off event, who knows where we will be in 10 years time - legislation & physically (clutch hand etc...) wise!

So for those who were wondering, but were to polite to ask its over the weekend of Fri 19th/Sat 20th/ Sun 21st.

Please note as a mark of respect to Mike this will be a 100% Lambretta only rally, this is NOT up for discussion... More details to follow...

Very much looking forward to this one and having a pint in the Green Dragon to a raise a glass to Mike.
A nice part of the UK is north Devon, so the ride will be one to enjoy too.
