All next season's BSM rallies will be announced at the AGM in January and appear on here and in JetSet shortly after

Remember that last year there was an unofficial date which had to be formally ratified at the AGM and that the route itself was the last thing to be confirmed?

Does anyone know even what month it's 99% planned?

Think it best to allow the LCGB to inform the membership where and when ALL the club events are going to take place officially as Steve has stated above.

It just causes problems when details, either correct or wrong are leaked before hand, the C2C is one of many LCGB events that has been successfully run over the years and hopefully will be part of the complete BSM list including full particular event details announced at the clubs AGM, followed up by Jet Set and forum media :)

i wonder why it's the only LCGB event with a date quoted?
i personally find it annoying that someone sees fit to drip info out when the LCGB committee still have a lot of lose ends to sort out before announcing their official calender at the AGM in january.

No different from last year where the date was released on here though, however, people were expressly warned

a) it had to be 100% verified at AGM
b) The route wasn't finalised earlier
c) book your B&B at your peril!

:D :D

Hi Peejay/knygall

For a fair obvious primary reason: to avoid a potential date clash with another BSRA event, the intended date of the LCGB C2C (probably now an annual event involving more people actually riding scooters, than some larger 'national' scooter events), needs to be taken to the table of the BSRA meeting every October.

Once this date is 'out in the open' it's then nigh on impossible to keep it contained outside of the Scootering and Social media circles. As Donnie rightly recalls, the date of the 2014 LCGB C2C was published on Facebook within hours of the BSRA meeting in October 2013.

So I can confirm that the LCGB C2C in 2015 is planned to be on Saturday 18th April 2015, however no further details such as route, or start and finish locations, will be provided until the LCGB members hear them first at the AGM on 24th Jan in Doncaster.

Cheers

Toot
LCGB Committee
