Anyone that likes to ride a nice, quite and under used A road route to a Lambretta Club Rally may want to make themselves aware of the Borders Historic Route, otherwise know as the A7 'Tourist' route into Scotland

http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/wiki/index.php?title=A7 (Ignore the tong in cheek first paragraph, and I know the description is North to South!)

A rough plan (to be confirmed by Thursday night) is to meet up at Carlisle for a 10.30am set off up the A7 to Edinburgh, before riding over the Forth Road Bridge

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forth_Roa ... 0x1915.jpg

Followed by a leisurely ride onto Bannockburn, avoiding motorways.

There are around 8 Lambretta's in the planned group so far, anyone that is heading up towards/via Cumbria is very welcome to join us, or take the same route up to the 4 Nations 2015.

It will be far more enjoyable than staying on the M74.

All have a safe journey up to Stirling, and see ya at the bar ;)
