Still got my bib.
Glad you posted the link - could not find it buried away in SLUK with no index on opening page.

Surprised you couldn't find it because we've done a lot of work to simplify the site and get the menus working better. 3 ways should work
From the opening page, select Retro and it's the in the top 3 items
From any page (desktop) or the menu (phone) use the Search function (magnifying glass) and type 'grasstrack' e.g.
From the opening page choose retro and then 'News' from the menu.

I eventually found it by choosing 'Retro' then 'News' but it was not in the items on the Retro opening page although I looked for it. Perhaps that may have been because I was not logged in as I regularly clear 'history' and had forgotten to do so?

We were talking about the days when we had grass tracking at Mersea Scooter rallies.
I don't know how we ever had room for the event back then, but I guess we fitted everything in some how.

Made some changes to the site caching today to hopefully make it update more quickly, where are you located?

London - ish.
(Still not on Retro opening page, and I'm logged in).
Would really like to see grass track back as if formulated in the right way it has the potential to be a lower cost sport open to more.
Can we have a geriatric class?

Grass tracking with grass track side car type of hairy chair does it for me , you don't have to slow down on the bends , wish I still had mine .

Sticky,
I still have my knobblys and a spare frame I could use given more time I'd be up for it if my kidneys will survive. Pilar may even come and wave a flag like the old days! I'll ask around the WASPs and see if they want to try again. Rhino was always up for it.

GO GO GO!!! Vague memories of the Oxford Road Runners S.C. mid 8T's events being reanimated... Getting dirty is NOT a crime

We have 3x off road smallframes that we thinking of bringing up to this event from Essex..
We also almost have all the parts to build either a Lambretta or a Large frame Vespa, both need the same amount of money spending to complete so only one will be done
So which would be the better option for this type of event ?
Cheers

If you are coming you need to get an entry in ASAP. Links are on the article. IMHO smallframes are best for the grass.

Thanks Sticky...we have been in touch with Phil & Anita Perkins regarding regs/rules and junior riders, my mate is into trials riding and has been trying to get scooters excepted on the tracks in Essex for a while but it keeps getting blocked by all the old time bikers... hopefully if this event generates a decent interest it will help open things up a bit more in the future.

typical, what's their problem, afraid the scoots will be faster no doubt

Update for Essex...If we can guarantee at least 10x Scooters they are willing to give it serious consideration...so when we have a time scale and more details I will let folk know.

Please note that there were insufficient entries with Bewdley MCC to run a scooter class at this event; however they will still consider it for next year which will give people longer to build a suitable machine.
The event still takes place this Sunday without a scooter class.
