Thanks Peejay

Bit of a contrast to last weekend's pictures where there was a complete absence of GTS's, abominations and Comedy Mods.

Agree whole heartedly with this, I find Nationals "difficult" I know its what you make of it etc etc. But compare an event like Shipston with say any National --- well you cant actually as there's no comparison
Great set of pics as always, thanks fella

hi guys
i'm not surprised at the comments, it is what you make it of course.
the ride up and back for 4 of us made it really, it was a long day for us and we spent more time riding than actually at the rally :D

ditto.
Pro points:
We stayed the whole weekend, it being my most local rally anyway, and I have to say it was very refreshing that most stalls there were actually selling proper scooter items and not tat.
We actually quite by accident even found a really nice cafe/restaurant in the saturday night after finding most were (empty but) fully booked.
£10 for a whole weekend entertainment (£20 if camping too) a bargain in my book.
Eateries -The 'Oxford corner' (been there 43 years so we were told and certainly the decor hasn't changed -a good thing!)
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant ... gland.html
Great home cooked food and 2 courses and tea -only just over £20!
Wintergardens an excellent venue with clean loos.
Wonderful weather and great roads with fantastic scenery off the beaten track (some easily missed if NOT on a scooter -another thing the scooter-less miss out on!)

Bad points:
Sorry to find Lammy museum closed (realise Stu can't do it all however!)
£1.80 for a bottle of water/ £3.80 a pint in the venue taking the mickey somewhat
Drunken tw@ts spilling beer on the northern dance floor (can't you keep it in the main hall where no one else cares FFS?)
Taxis that don't show up when your hotel is 2 miles away (sore feet!)

Is it me or am i getting an anti mod vibe? Personally i am 51 and if it wasn't for that film i certainly wouldn't be here now. i was a mod and still feel like i am a mod, can't quite cut it in the whole mod clothes thing but i do like the look and appreciate all scooters. How many of you would be here if it wasn't for the 79' revival ?

Well folk were riding scooters for over a quarter of century before the "revival" for one but just 10 years for me.
