Dropped my nuts!

Postby Littlewheels » Sun Aug 04, 2024 12:34 pm

Nightmare - After trying to fit my seat bracket I ended up dropping not one but 2 nuts down into the frame!
Apart from turning the scooter upside down anyone got any ideas how I can get them out? ;)

Get a small magnet attached to - ideally - some strong fishing line or lock wire. Even if your nuts are stainless, the lower grades used for fasteners are usually magnetic.

I’ve not done what you have but dropped tools etc into a car engine bay & the under-trays don’t allow them to fall to the ground.

A suitable magnet is the type in furniture door catches.

Did the same when doing a seat swap. Bike was fully assembled... They're still in there!
