New blue & new white. Codes are on lambrettapaints site. I'll post them when I get in tonight if no one else has in the meantime. I'm sure they're in Sticky's book too.

hi Dave
any motor above 150cc really benefits from the extra underneath bracket fitted to later engines.
ideally you should remove the bracket and reverse it to fit the plain pillar that you will tap 8mm.
if you don't want to reposition the lug then just make up a spacer between the two which is not ideal but better than no fixing.[/quote]

Peejay,

thanks. I'll do that.

Well, engine is completely stripped.Casings are ready to be de greased and then off to be Aqua Blasted.

Had this back from the chromers too.Looks good. Now,I know some of you will say,"you could have bougth a new one for much less than it cost to have it Chromed".And you would be correct. But as this came on the Scoot,I thought it could be an old one,so that's why I did it.I have looked at loads of these type of rack, but haven't seen any with the letters on the round bit that holds the stud that holds the spare wheel.
Right, whos going to tell me its a Chinese one

Nice one. Satisfying isn't it.
Power to the rattle-can! 8-)
did you get a nice flat finish? I left mine for a while then very fine rub down where needed and cut/polish up.

And a small amount of filler on the floor where it was peppered with rust.

Image
All in all, they are not so bad considering their age.Alot better than some of the floor was on my 2CV,and that's 1989

Had to put all the pics up in one go,for some reason my Computer has decieded it doesn't like Photobucket, keeps shutting it down
Anyway, got the engine in,fitted the inlet manifold, but the carb seemed to be on an odd angle.I was told that this was quite normal, and that the engine would run ok,but to me it just doesn't look right. Also, the air filter wouldn't fit properly.
Bought a new manifold from Rimmini Lambretta, looks much better, and the filter fits ok now.
Next was the exhaust.Managed to get it to fit, after more advice, but I will need to cut that tab off and re weld it.Also need to drill and tap a new hole for it.
Now a bigger problem has reared its ugly head.I had some work done on the cylinder by a Dealer, they also set the timimg, but they didn't mark the stator housing,so I decieded to buy a degree wheel (which came without any numbers marked on it ).First job, undo the flywheel nut.Left hand thread,no probs,it moved a few turns then locked up solid ?????
Turned it back the same amount, locked up solid again????? New Crank, new nut, only been tightened twice
