my Li 125

Hi Chaps
I've finally gotten around to sorting out these pics of my Li 125 I brought over from Italy a couple of years ago
It got me back into Lambretta ownership after a 30 odd year break .The following pics were taken by my brother in law who lives in Italy. He went to see the guy who was selling it for me and luckily for me a deal was struck, hands were shaken and euros were exchanged.
He said he had owned it since he was a teenager. At some point he pushed it into the back of his parents garage and forgot about it.
He left the Ancona area and went to seek his fortune in Rome then, many years later, after his Mother passed away he returned and had to clear the property. The scooter was still at the back of the garage, now missing the side panels and laying on its side.
At some point it had been brush painted a naff burgandy with gold :?: ImageImageImage

Hi
The paint job unfortunately dictated a restoration and repair job,
The seat wasnt used as I prefered a more original style I kept it however and had the base blasted and powder coated black I was going to use it on another project but have since had a change of plan so if anyone wants to do a trade /swap give me a shout.
I bought it based on these photos and to be honest the price .
The photos actually make it look better than it actually was , the steering rotated 360 as the stop I later found out had fallen off the fork tube thankfully not the frame tube as that would have been a more challenging repair to be honest Im not sure Im a good enough welder for that!
Also the loop had become detached from the frame behind the rear light so I had that to weld back on .
The rear brake pedal pin was badly worn so I carefully removed it with a junior hacksaw and had a gp one machined out by my local friendly engineering shop then I welded it back in place .
There were some holes in the leggies which I had a bit of help with as I was a bit unsure with as the steel is so thin .
I learnt some valuable techniques and although its never going to be a show winner its worked out really well .

Thanks Guys
I built a hydraulic table so it would be easier to work on but because my garage is so small its tight for space  Image
Everything was stripped down the frame was powder coated along with everything else exept leggies ,front mudguard and rear footrests .
The leggies took a ton of work which I did over the summer with help and advice from a friend who has a body shop ;) Image

The pannels were missing when I acquired the Li .
Thanks to Hx Paul he told me a friend had a set for sale .
