Which Dampers to fit ??????

I want to fit some nice front dampers " Bolt on "to my GP 125, Can anybody recommend some ?

I bought some BGM adjustable ones - very nice.
but expensive
They replaced the escort dampers which lasted about two weeks - the bush & rubbers just came loose!

I get washers the precise size of the rubbers (so the bush sits in the middle of it) and then a penny washer on top. Both sides. As long as your mounts are in line, you won't have any issues then.

Also, in my experience, they are as good as many dampers that are well more expensive. I've just invested £30 in a pair for my current project

The concept of good and bad dampers is really a bit weird. What kind of riding do you do? Your weight, brakes, fork springs etc.

Probably the main one is the spring rate. I've read many times that dampers 'should' only damp in one direction, but is there a correct answer to this? No, is the straightforward answer, but here goes my simplistic description of what damping does versus springs.

Springs try to maintain a constant force applied to the tarmac and the reaction against your arse and wrists. Dampers control the speed at which your springs can move to do this. So in another way, springs control force, and dampers control the speed at which they do this.

As an example of why it's odd to say that dampers should only work on rebound, ask yourself why every decent bike has adjustable compression and rebound damping. In fact the best ones have high and low speed damping adjustment in both directions.

Yes, thats what I did with the BGM dampers.
Im now a big fan of penny washers.

I've just bought bgm adjustable dampers but want to change internal Spring which one should I go for

If it helps I went for the MB Development progressive springs. Not bad on cost and work really well. I also have a GP with standard springs and escort dampers. You know the difference.
