Sam Ubootu, nicknamed Lucky, doesn't need to ask for trouble - when they're dishing it out, he's always at the head of the queue. A habitual petty thief, Lucky has to make every effort to avoid trouble when he is released from prison once again. This is the story of his first day of freedom, his harrowing visit to his deserted Irish mother, and his search for the father who had once promised to take him back to Africa.
