the page refresh rate has slowed considerably in the past 2-3 days and is now anywhere between 10 and 15 seconds on my PC which is a long time when you're trying to navigate dozens of pages .
is anyone else experiencing this at the moment ?

Sometimes up to 30 secs and occasionally times out. Took me all that time to reply here.

not just me then !.....its going to take us 3 days to have a conversation Chris

so 15.30pm Friday and my page refresh rate is now 25-30 seconds and the same with login times.

Incidentally a new problem has now arisen. I have to login every time I bring my PC out of hibernation even though I select 'Stay connected' box and the LCGB tab is live all the time on Firefox.

I guess this problem must be limited to just some PC's or everybody would be complaining.
The only other relevant factor I can think of is that I use the Add on Adguard when on Firefox. Don't know if that could be a factor ?

it's hit and miss whether I have to log in or not. Sometimes I stay logged in, sometimes not. Weird (to someone who hasn't got a clue about computers!!)

Then I'll have a fiver with you !!

Very slow ONLY on this site. Running 17 MB Broadband at home but it's exactly the same problem wherever I go to another WIFI and login.

Same for me. PC, phone or I pad, whether on wi fi or 3 / 4 G. On BT infinity and everything else is instant........

System is so so slow.

I'll wager this forum is about to fall over...........

It takes me ages to get to the requested page, and also I have to log in every time I use the forum.

page refresh rate this morning at 9.50am is 15+ seconds ?

that has just gone completely over my head Eden ...or was through my head ?

often wished I knew something ....anything ...about this particular aspect of computing. I'm on Firefox 42.0 by the way

Mine is slow Eden, I am on Plusnet fibre (which is BT).

you would yes as that's the server IP, it bares no relevance!

ok so the problem listed hasn't anything to do with LCGBs server then ?

On Tuesday July 5th at 7.27pm on the "running slow" thread I wrote.
"site is running very slow again.It only seems to effect this site,all the other sites I visit are running at the normal speed" - Its still running very slow.

why is this the only forum on the internet that has a 15 -20 second page refresh rate ?
Someone with some computer savvy needs to resolve this long standing problem
