Good evening
My scooter has developed an issue
When I start it for first time with choke on for around
10-15 seconds the revs rise but then settle down.
Any suggestions please

Sounds like you could have a slight air leak which needs investigating.

You don’t mention what carburettor is in use, but in any case, it’s worth checking the choke jet especially if it is the type with multiple drillings as with certain Dell’Orto’s designed to give an initial ‘slug’ of fuel then provide a richer mixture whilst in operation.

Those particular choke jets are worth seeking out as they really enhance the cold start procedure, almost like having a ‘tickler’ as used on Amal’s…..
