PWK 28mm RT195 jetting.

Postby Mark ULC » Sun Apr 26, 2015 6:02 pm

Hi, would like your help on checking jetting on a PWK 28mm, RT195, bgm clubman, foam remote filter. Floods and difficult to start, runs well.

135 main
50 pilot
JJH needle, 2nd clip down.

Thanks

I think your main and pilot jets are a tad big , I run a 225 Rapido with a 28mm PWK and currently use a 126 main and a 36 pilot , JJH needle middle clip

Assume you have this sorted by now, but I run a 24mm PWK on a RT195 kit and had mine jetted by SRP race tech.

My final set up is a 104 main jet with a 25 pilot, with a JJN needle at T2 (where T1 is top - Weakest).
All set up using gas analysis, and I have tweaked the settings down a little from when I left SRP race tech as was still slightly rich but at the time of tuning the smallest pilot I had was a 32 and main of 108.

I also had a clubman fitted and could only get about 56mph (GPS) but was getting 52mph at 1/2 throttle. Mark Broadhurst advised my Clubman was likely choking the top end revs, stuck on an old Sterling expansion box and it's much better, revs much cleaner all the way up, does about 65-70mph now, not fully checked top end.

Check out MB website info on RT kit set up
It gives a full range or jetting settings for your carb.
