I am rebuilding a 25mm phbl carb which I stripped some while ago.can somebody tell me if the pilot jet simply screws into the carb body.Or does it go into some kind of emulsifier which I may of lost.Hope I am wrong but I feel something is missing.(and the dellorto diagrams don't help).Does anyone know please?

PHBL usually have a surge washer that fits onto the ali bit that the jet screws into.not sure if it`s actually needed ,but then why did Delorto fit it ?

I was told it was fitted to stop surges on scramblers and dirt bike, mine seems to run well without it.
